Plaza de España Nº16, 11150 Vejer de la Frontera (Cadiz)
No.1 Triperia is Vejer's most sumptuous guest house hotel with views from all rooms, terraces and a charming courtyard with swimming pool. Situated in the heart of Vejer’s medieval quarter and distributed on three levels the accommodation is divided up into intimate corners of the house. The old Moorish courtyard (dating back to the 14th.C) and the swimming pool terrace form the focal point of the house while the Arab well & stone arches are all original features of the house discovered during restoration. Affording the best blend of rural & town location the Triperia is on the edge of the town’s historic palm filled Plaza de España. Parking is easy as there is both top floor entry level parking in the Plaza or there is a small car park just a few metres from back of the house.
El Jardín del Califa
Plaza de España Nº12, 11150 Vejer de la Frontera (Cadiz)
'The Caliph's Garden' is recognised as one of the province of Cádiz's prime eating destinations. You will be served fabulous North African & Middle Eastern food in a tranquil & unsurpassed setting in the heart of Vejers' medieval quarter. One of the unique features of our restaurant is not only the original menu but the very different areas in which you can enjoy your time here. Once you come off the Plaza you walk down through a rocky tunnel (or alternatively a flower lined alleyway) into the Jardin. The restaurant is set in a quiet pedestrian area of tiny alleyways lined with cobbles. How about a romantic candlelit dinner in the 'Jardin' under the starlit skies? Or perhaps a mint tea & arab pastries in the dome of the 12th. C. 'Algibe'. Alternatively perhaps you'd like an oriental cous cous served in the ambiance of the 'Templo' a 15th.C. stone barrel vaulted dining room. And if that isn't enough we can offer you the relaxing atmosphere of the jasmine entwined 'Pergola' in the garden. If you join us during the day the shade of our Walnut, Lemon & Nispero trees are the perfect place to relax after a morning visiting the sights of Vejer. The thickness of the centuries old walls - in places many meters deep - keep our building cool troughout the summer & warm throughout the winter. A splashing fountain, scented plants & the haven of this quiet corner in the heart of Vejer will provide you with many memorable moments.
